Journal Recommendation: Innovations in Pedagogy and Technology
Journal Introduction
Innovations in Pedagogy and Technology (ISSN: 3093-7175 (O)), published by Zhongyu International Education Centre (M), is an internationally peer-reviewed open-access academic journal in the field of education, published quarterly with regular issues released in March, June, September, and December each year.
The journal is edited by Prof. Arumugam Raman of Universiti Utara Malaysia, with an editorial board comprising education experts from universities across multiple countries. It conducts rigorous double-blind peer review, assigns independent DOIs to accepted papers, and publishes full texts openly online, providing an academic dialogue platform for global education researchers, practicing teachers, and education administrators, thereby promoting the development of educational theory and innovation in teaching practice.
The journal accepts English manuscripts and publishes original research articles, reviews, teaching cases, opinion pieces, book reviews, and other genres. Research topics cover innovative teaching and curriculum reform, educational applications of intelligent digital technologies, educational evaluation, and teacher professional development, spanning higher education, basic education, vocational education, and special education. It also welcomes submissions on education management, policy comparison, blended learning, and educational equity. The journal imposes no submission fee and charges only a USD 600 Article Processing Charge (APC) upon acceptance; rejected manuscripts incur no fees whatsoever, and no additional charges are levied for manuscript length or figures/tables. It is currently indexed and archived by Google Scholar, Europub, OpenAlex, J-Gate, and Crossref, and adheres to COPE’s international ethical guidelines for academic publishing.
Publishing Orientation and Features
In the current international open-access publishing landscape, many journals tend to prioritize theoretical research and large-scale empirical studies in higher education, making it difficult for practical achievements from teaching frontlines to receive adequate visibility; topics often concentrate on higher education with limited attention to diverse educational contexts, and research perspectives are largely rooted in Western academic paradigms.
This journal strives to form a complementary and symbiotic academic ecology with existing excellent journals in the field. While valuing in-depth theoretical inquiry, it also cherishes teaching reform experiences accumulated from classroom practice, fostering academic exchange between university researchers and practicing educators. The research scope encompasses all levels of education, paying equal attention to digital practices in basic education, vocational education, special education, and lifelong learning, embracing localized educational explorations worldwide, with particular emphasis on Asia-Pacific regional teaching reform practices and cross-cultural educational issues, providing a showcase for educational innovation research in diverse contexts.
In terms of publishing operations, the journal fully follows the COPE ethical framework, clearly defining the rights and responsibilities of editors, reviewers, and authors, establishing comprehensive systems for corrections, retractions, and data reproducibility; fee structures are transparent with no hidden costs; all outputs are assigned DOIs with standardized metadata archiving, ensuring traceability of academic outputs. The journal maintains a stable quarterly publication rhythm, leveraging open access to eliminate reading barriers and facilitating the translation of research findings into educational practice.
